Basic IRC Commands:

• /join #channel_name
• To join channel 'channel_name'.
• Forexample /join #water_cooler
• /me [action message]
• Action message. 
• e.g. /me is writing new blog post. it will be displayed as taimoor is writing new blog post
• /nick [new nick]
• To change IRC nick.
• e.g. /nick tmirza_ubuntu will change nick to tmirza_ubuntu
• /quit
• Quit IRC
• /whois [nick name]
• provides
